The signs of aging are inevitable, and more and more people are turning to less invasive cosmetic procedures to enhance and rejuvenate the skin.
As we age the face loses volume, resulting in laxity, wrinkles and sagging. The environment causes the skin to lose its brightness, tone and texture, contributing factors include; sun damage, lifestyle, blemishes, genetics, scarring and pigmentation.
Non-surgical, non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures are becoming increasingly popular, they appeal to busy lifestyles and ensure minimum downtime. Typically less expensive than surgery, non-surgical facial treatments are accessible for everyone and anyone.
These non surgical procedures carry far less risk than going under the knife and provide natural looking, long lasting results. Our technologies offer a wide variety of facial treatments to restore the skins brightness, volume, tautness, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and improving scars, veins or pigmentation, regardless of your skin type or time of year.Schedule a Consultation
Skin Tightening & Skin Rejuvenation, Wrinkles & Fine Lines
What Is Skin Tightening?
The reduction in skin laxity, also known as skin tightening, describes therapeutic alternatives to surgical face or body lifts. Surgical face lifting is an invasive procedure that carries high risks; patients wishing to avoid such invasive procedures prefer to opt for non–surgical face lifts with minimal or no down time. Non-surgical and minimally invasive skin tightening treatments are also used as a preventative aging method.
Tightening treatments are most commonly used on the face and neck, however skin tightening treatments may also be performed on the body, such as the décolletage, upper arms (bingo wings), thighs, buttocks and abdomen.
Wrinkles and Fine Lines
Wrinkles are one of the most visible signs of aging and are an inevitable part of the natural aging process. As we age, our skin becomes thinner, loses collagen and is less elastic, its ability to protect itself from damage reduces, cell regeneration decreases and can lead to dull looking skin. All these natural changes can cause the skin to lose its firmness and elasticity, which means it cannot bounce back as easily when we make facial expressions, repetitive facial expressions then lead to lines and wrinkles.
The most common cause of aging in both men and women is sun exposure; recent studies show UV rays accounting for 80 per cent of skin aging, including wrinkles. Other factors include:
- Our genetic make up
- Diet & Exercise
- Other lifestyle factors
There are a wide variety of treatment options available; however energy-based treatments are among the most effective. Energy based treatments tap into the body’s natural healing processes, encouraging cell renewal and collagen production. Energy based treatments are also highly tailorable to the patient’s specific needs.
Mostly non-invasive, or minimally invasive, energy based treatments have a range of benefits, including reduction of laxity, improvements of fine lines and wrinkles, firmness, texture, and general rejuvenation of the skin giving it a youthful radiance.
How Does It Work?
Energy-based skin tightening requires the delivery of therapeutic energy to the epidermis and/or dermis for thermal coagulation of tissue and stimulation of neocollagenesis.
What is neocollagenesis?
Neo = new or revived
Collagen = the fibrous structural protein found in connective tissue under the skin layer. As we age, the body produces less collagen, which causes wrinkles
Synthesis = to make something
Neocollagenesis = “Making new Collagen”Schedule a Consultation
Needle Based Radio Frequency RF
Minimally invasive needle based radio frequency uses insulated gold coated micro needles delivering concentrated and controlled treatment depth radio frequency to the dermis. Radio frequency and micro needling have individually been used as effective anti-aging treatments for a number of years. The ability to offer both treatments together at the same time as having total control over the treatment depth is something new.
This advanced technology uses micro needles in a controlled system to target different depths between 0.5mm and 3.5mm, while at the same time delivering RF at the targeted depth.Schedule a Consultation
BTL EXCILIS FOR FACIAL LINES & WRINKLES
Excilis for Facial Lines & Wrinkles
Excilis is a non invasive treatment applied to the surface of the skin to stimulate fibroblasts deep within the skin to resume collagen and elastin production. It promotes cell renewal to improve skin density and elasticity, making the skin look firmer and smoother, and with reduced wrinkle depth after only one treatment.
The skin begins to ages in our mid-20’s where the connective tissue stores less moisture and cell production slows down. Fine lines and wrinkles are the result of the reduced elasticity of the dermal fibers and the effects of this process can be seen in the face.
Treatment areas include around the mouth, cheeks, jowls, chin and the sides of the eyes. A course of 6 treatments, twice weekly is recommended. If you exercise and increase how much water you drink you may see even better results of women who took part in a clinical study would recommend this treatment.
Safety of Treatment
With any beauty therapies there are considerations to ensure the treatment is suitable for you.
